Position Summary
The Fiber Optic Groundman supports field operations by assisting linemen and construction crews with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and communication infrastructure. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliable performance in varying outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ground operations including material handling, rigging, equipment preparation, and jobsite setup.
- Assist linemen with lashing, stringing, hardware assembly, and other aerial or underground tasks.
- Safely work in proximity to energized and de-energized electrical and communication lines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and adhere to all company, OSHA, and industry safety standards.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Previous construction, telecom, or utility experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Strong safety mindset, reliability, and solid work ethic.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- Willingness to travel as needed based on project requirements.

- Electrical or telecommunications experience is a plus but not required.
