Join Our Team as an Asphalt Plant Groundman

Silver Star Construction is looking for a motivated Asphalt Plant Groundman to assist with maintenance, equipment operation, and general support activities at our asphalt production facility. This role is essential to keeping plant operations running smoothly and safely.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
• Operate various pieces of heavy equipment including haul trucks, water trucks, skid steers, and man lifts
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the plant
• Perform general labor duties supporting plant production

• Effective verbal communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to identify mechanical issues and workplace hazards
• Safety-focused mindset

Qualifications:

• Clean driving history
• Successful completion of a physical, drug screen, and background check
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
• Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks safely
• Adherence to all company and regulatory safety standards
