Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Plant Groundman at our Red Bary Quarry in Red Bay, AL, part of the Alabama SMA, reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Responsibilities:
- General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
- Operate equipment with a high degree of safety and intermediate skill level
- Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times
- Report equipment problems and identify them to management
- Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines
- Assist with plant operator duties as needed
- Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
- Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions
- Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
- Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties assigned
- Ability to learn quickly
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
