ABOUT THE ROLE
Holcim is an environmentally responsible producer of high quality construction materials. We operate six regional construction materials businesses and a national Building Materials business in the United States, supplying aggregate-based materials and contracting services to a wide range of projects including large, publicly financed infrastructure projects, commercial, and residential developments. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand and gravel is enhanced by value adding operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing operations are also offered in some business regions. Currently we are seeking high energy candidates with experience and with a combination of the below description.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Adhere to all SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND COMPLIANCE POLICIES
- General Laboring (carrying, lifting parts and tools, cleaning)
- Participates in mechanical maintenance activities that may require the use of operating hand tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required; determine when equipment is in need of repair and inform appropriate authorities.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include heat, rain and dust.
- Learn to operate RMX Batch plants at multiple sites.
- Must be able to switch from days to night with little notice
- Willingness to work required overtime as needed
- Must be on time and work in a team environment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experienced welder/fabricator (preferred)
- Experience using hand tools (Drills, pneumatic powered tools, hammers, wrenches,)
- Ability to read measuring tools
- Understand Basic mathematics
- Good communication skills/someone who can work in a team environment
- Ability to diagnose problems with plant/site equipment
- MA Hoisting License (Skid Steer, BobCat, Man-Lift operator) (preferred)
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
