Aerial Groundman

The Opportunity

We are looking for Aerial Groundman local to the Austin & Porter, TX area to support our operations from the ground floor! This position reports to the Director of Operations and represents an excellent opportunity to join an active, well-funded team, gain valuable experience, and advance your career as GRC grows.

Responsibilities

●     Assist aerial linemen with materials, tools, and equipment during the installation and maintenance of overhead fiber optic and telecom networks.

●     Load, unload, and organize tools and materials at job sites.

●     Operate basic equipment such as reel trailers, pulling machines, and small tools.

●     Maintain a clean and safe job site by properly storing materials and disposing of waste.

●     Provide traffic control and safety support as needed.

●     Perform basic inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

●     Follow directions from foremen and linemen to complete tasks efficiently.

●     Adhere to all company and safety regulations, including the use of PPE.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Aerial Lineman in telecom or utility construction.
• Proficiency in using aerial construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures, including fall protection and electrical safety.
• Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Understand and follow written and verbal safety instructions
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding worksite hazards and procedures
• Read safety signage, manuals, and technical instructions
• Participate in safety briefings and emergency procedures

Preferred Qualifications

●     Experience in telecom, construction, or utility work (a plus but not required).

●     Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA and traffic control regulations.

●     Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information

Hourly Range: $22-$27 Hourly, based on experience

Schedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday

Travel Requirements: 100%
