Job Summary:

 Under the supervision of the area General Foreman and Journeyman Lineman Foreman this position will be responsible and accountable for the completion of in-field transmission line jobs, both maintenance and construction.

 Qualifications:

The successful candidate(s) will possess the following experience and/or skills:

  • Experience as a journeyman line technician.
  • Able to climb wood and steel structure and work form a bucket truck.
  • Able to operate digger truck and other related equipment.  
  • Successfully complete Lineman Red Tag Certification.
  • Must have a C.D.L. license or obtain license within six months of initial employment.
  • Complete any internal line training program.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of Electrical Transmission lines.
  • Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, and operating instructions and manuals relating to transmission equipment.
  • Safety and Environmental knowledge.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively and accurately.
  • Be available during off-duty hours.
  • Familiar and able to use Microsoft and ITC software.
  • Must meet residency requirement of 30 miles driving distance or less from the city listed on the job posting to the employee’s residence.
  • Able to work and retain access to all related substations, ROW’s and facilities.
