Job Overview:

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Overhead Journeyman Lineman for projects in the Mount Dora, FL area. This role involves the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical power lines and associated equipment.

Job Responsibilities-

  • Construct, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • Install and remove poles, crossarms, insulators, transformers, and other related equipment.
  • String, sag, and splice overhead conductors.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility vehicles.
  • Perform hot stick work and other energized line work safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on overhead lines.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response as required.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.


Job Qualifications-

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman working with overhead power lines.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical theory, utility construction standards, and safety practices (OSHA, NESC).
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining linework equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Physically able to climb poles, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
